DAVENPORT, Ret. Captain Stephen C. USNR. Of Jamaica Plain, August 17th. Beloved husband of the late Margaret T. (Kane). Loving father of Maureen P. and her husband Thomas Corcoran of Brookline, Stephen P. and his wife Susan Davenport of GA, and Patrick K. and his wife Joan Davenport of Brookline. Son of the late Michael J. and Maude E. (Flannagan) Davenport. Brother of Mary T. O'Loughlin of West Roxbury and the late Joseph M. Davenport. Loving grandfather of Thomas W. and Andrew S. Corcoran, Meghan K., Erin J., Jack S., and Ned K. Davenport. Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, on Monday, August 22nd, at 9 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 97 South Street, Jamaica Plain, at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 P.M. Interment in Mass National Cemetery, Bourne, at 1 P.M. Veteran WWII and Korean War - US Navy. Former State Representative and State Senator, representing Mission Hill, Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, and West Roxbury. Boston Mayoral Candidate, 1967. Graduate of BU and BU Law School. CPA at Darmody Merlino & Co. Member of the Assoc. of Naval Aviators, Patriot Squadron, So. Weymouth, The Jamaica Plain American Legion Post #76, and the ROMEO Club-Doyle's Café.
