Semyon Yurovitskiy of Allston , formerly of Moscow, Soviet Union , died October 21, 2024. Beloved Husband of Lubov Yurovitskiy. Loving father of Marina and Michail Yurovitsky, grandfather of Bernie Shapiro, Pavel, Maria and Yakov Yurovitsky, great grandfather of Petya , Lenechka, Timosha, Leah and Gosha. father-in-law to Lena and Sereja. Olya, Ira, Vladik – he loved you all.
Sema lived a beautiful, loving, fun life. Sema was born in Moscow in 1928. His mom worked in the aviation plant, father was an accountant.. His father died in 1941 during World War II. Sema had 3 high educations. He studied to be an engineer and has a degree in economics. In 1991 he immigrated to Israel and lived in Netania for over 20 years. He loved to write poetry since early age. He published 5 books, 2 of which were published in the United States. For 15 years he was an editor of a newspaper. He had many interests in life. He loved to dance and enjoy singing.. He was a choir soloist for many years. He attended Adult daycare Pearl in Brighton and was the first to participate in all activities. He was a romantic, fun, brave, kind, caring, loving, bright person. Always smilng and never complained about anything. He was beautiful and joyful person, always young at heart. And this is how we will always remember him.
Graveside service on Wednesday October 23, 2024 in Beth EL Cemetery Baker St. West Roxbury at 1:00 PM
