Sean Isaac Young, 41, passed away on May 3rd, 2026 after a difficult battle with glioblastoma.

Sean was born on November 3rd, 1984, in Daejeon, South Korea, a son of Byoungha Yang and Sangsook Lee. He grew up in New Zealand and completed his education at the University of Auckland and the University of New South Wales. He later went on to build a successful career, serving as a faculty member at the Martinos Center, Harvard Medical School.

He is survived by his parents, brother, sister and fiancée.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Sean's friends who sent their condolences and shared fond memories.

Visiting hours in the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Saturday May 9, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment private.
