Obituary

O'Connor, Rose Ann (Healey)

Ann O'Connor was blessed by a long life, a strong family and many friends.  She was gracious, inclusive, competitive (particularly in bridge and golf) and she dearly loved those close to her.  Ann's sense of fashion was only surpassed by her quick wit and humor.  After college Ann forged a successful career at The John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company where she established herself as an independent woman.   She was a feminist long before the term came into vogue.  She became part of the O'Connor family in 1972.  She and her husband Jerry travelled the world and enjoyed their many friends in Osterville.  Eleven years ago, she moved to a new community at Fox Hill Village in Westwood where she made new friends, kept the old, and continued the pursuit of her interests.

Ann died peacefully on August 18, 2021. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Jeremiah W. O'Connor, her sister, Katherine Hagman, her brother Dr. Stephen Healey. She leaves behind the entire O'Connor family and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Margaret Mary Church 845 High St., Westwood, on Wednesday, August 25, at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ann's memory to St. Francis House 39 Boylston Street Boston, MA 02116 www.stfrancishouse.com
