It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Román Colón Amaro on June 20, 2026, at the age of 74.

Roman was born on July 21, 1951, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, to the late Juan Colón and Ramona Amaro. He was the beloved husband of Carmen Iris Colón for 55 years.

He was a loving father to Sonia Iris Colón, Luis Angel Colón, and Román Colón Jr., who will forever carry his love and kindness in their hearts. He was also a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather.

Roman, a devout Catholic who retired after over 30 years at Schrafft’s Candy Company, enjoyed serving the church, cooking, gardening, and watching baseball.

Those who knew Román will remember his quiet strength and caring ways. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and willingness to help others.

Román is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at

St. Joseph Cemetery 990 Lagrange St.

West Roxbury, MA 02132 on July 16 @ 11:00am.
