Murphy, Robert J. of Roslindale, Suddenly May 15, 2022. Beloved husband of Mary (Pappas) Murphy. Devoted brother of Margaret Stewart and her late husband Douglas of Bellingham. Elizabeth Hughes and her husband Gerald of New Hampshire and the late David, Peter, John and James Murphy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews.

Bob was the former president of the West Roxbury Historical Society and the Treasurer of the Doric Docents.

Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home 1803 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Friday, May 20, at 9:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Holy Name Church at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday, May 19, from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Interment the Garden's cemetery, West Roxbury.
