Robert K. McIntyre, MD "Dr. Bob" Of Westwood, March 17, 2022. Beloved and loving husband of Susan (Brennan) McIntyre. Loving and cherished father of Connor, Luke, Brennan and Graham all of Westwood. Loving son of Marguerite L. (Millette) McIntyre and the late Dr. Robert E. McIntyre. Devoted brother of Kathleen Golden and her husband Timothy of Scituate, Helen Golden and her husband Peter of Scituate, Drs. Stephen McIntyre and his wife Gina of Stuart, FL; James McIntyre and his wife Maria of Mequon, WI; David McIntyre and his wife Kerry of Mansfield, Carolyn Mayen and her husband Gustavo of Milton, Mary Garrett and her husband John of Scituate, and Christopher McIntyre and his wife Jenn of Cohasset. Also survived by loving aunts, uncles, sisters-in- law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was known for his compassion, intelligence, kindness and sense of humor. He was a graduate of St. Michael's College 1986, Boston University Medical School 1992, he served as a captain in the Medical Corps of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He was an extraordinarily gifted physician who cared deeply about his patients and colleagues and was a mentor and educator to many. He was a Primary Care Physician with Waltham Hospital, St. Elizabeth's / Caritas Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess, and Newton Wellesley Primary Care. He was a Hospitalist at Cape Cod Hospital and then became Chief of Internal Medicine for South Shore Hospital. Dr. Bob was extremely proud to serve as Medical Director for many years at the Campion Center.
Bob loved traveling, reading, hockey, tennis, golf and had a passion for exploring the ocean. Above all, his greatest love and devotion was for his wife Susan and "his boys".
Visiting hours will be held in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St. (Route 109) Westwood, on Friday, March 25, from 2:00 to 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church on Saturday, March 26, at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment New Westwood cemetery.
Bob's funeral mass will be available via Live Stream at www.saintmmparish.org
