He spent his professional career in Human Resources Administration. He was a retired Commander in the United States Navy Reserve. He resided in West Roxbury, MA. He leaves his wife, Geraldine (Sousa) Montgomery, his daughter, Sarah (Montgomery) Tomlin and her husband, Brian Tomlin, his son Benjamin Charles Montgomery and his wife, Kazuko Montgomery, his sister Carol (Montgomery) Donaldson and her husband, John Anthony Donaldson, several nieces and nephews and several grandchildren.
