Ralph E. Anderson, 68, of Jamaica Plain and Humarock, died August 31, 2018. Ralph spent the last weeks of his life at his beloved beach cottage and died of pancreatic cancer at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham. In 2016, Ralph retired from the janitorial department of the Raytheon Corporation, a job he held for 45 years. A 1969 graduate of Roslindale High School, Ralph also attended UMASS Boston studying photography and English literature. He enjoyed reading, cooking, classic movies, and Jeopardy. Ralph is survived by his brother, Edward Anderson of Jamaica Plain, his sister Beverly Gleason of Norwood and Mattapoisett, his nephew Scott Gleason of Woburn and niece Cathy Aho of Jamaica Plain, and their children. Mourners may consider a donation to the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, who provided excellent care for Ralph during his last days.
