Percy Maurice Sewell was born on April 17, 1933 to George Sewell and Audrey Tibbs-Thompson. He ended a most valiant fight with cancer on Sept. 4, 2016, surrounded by his loving family and kind staff at The Brockton VA hospital. He was reared in Virginia along with 4 other siblings, all of whom have preceded him in death. He graduated in 1951 from Rosenwald High School. He later was drafted and enlisted into the United States Air Force on July 9, 1952. He served as a military policeman until his honorable discharge on July 8, 1956. Percy worked for the Polaroid Corporation and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. Percy is survived by his devoted daughters; Crystal Davis and Evette Sewell; adoring grandchildren Depaul Patterson, Nya and Kai Gavin. Rashad Gavin preceded his grandfather in death. He also leaves to mourn his supportive son-in - law, Ronald Davis, and a multitude of amazing nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, family and friends.
