Obituary

Patricia M. "Tricia" (Lee) Knoll

Tricia Knoll, 74, of Roslindale, passed peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord after a brief illness, on February 28th. Tricia was born and raised in West Roxbury and Roslindale, and often fondly reflected on her formative years on Partridge Street in West Roxbury and Harding Road in Roslindale. Tricia's early years were largely shaped by her extended, loving Italian-American family. She learned her love of cooking and baking from her grandmother, her love of art and all things beautiful from her Uncle Frankie, and her love of family from her parents. Tricia was a kind and gentle soul, who was raised with the values and traditions of a by-gone era.

Whether as a small business owner, a salesperson for a community newspaper, or a credit manager for a non-profit in Boston, Tricia's desire to help and connect with others gave her life meaning and purpose. As a devout Christian Scientist, Tricia lived a life of faith with a fierce independent streak that sustained her through significant obstacles and losses throughout her life. Grounded in faith and lifted by her imagination and creativity, Tricia's resilience and strength allowed her to remain in her home until the end of her life with her faithful (and furry) companion, Luca, as was her wish.

She is survived by her beloved nephew, Donald K. Harrington and his wife Lisa A. of Belmont and her devoted niece, Lisa M. Harrington of West Roxbury, as well as her cherished grand-nephew, Declan K. Harrington, Pfc USMC of Belmont. She is also survived by her loving in-laws in Ohio: the Knoll, Overton, and Stachler families.

Tricia was predeceased by her adoring husband, Michael; her parents Camilla M. (Lento) and Robert E. Lee; her beloved sister Karen M. (Lee) Harrington; and her nephew Robert R. Harrington.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tricia's name to the MSPCA Angell Animal Medical Center in Jamaica Plain or the Ellen Gifford Shelter in Brighton.

Services will be private.

In Tricia's memory, please be a little kinder to someone today than you have to be. A small gift, a kind word, or a prayer may just change someone's day. Or their life.
