Michael "Mike"Leavey died peacefully on May 25, 2016 at the West Roxbury VA Hospital. Michael is the son of the late Dorothy and Robert Leavey. He is survived by his brother Thomas of Norwich CT, his sister Mary of NH and his brother Kevin of Weymouth, MA. Mike is also survived by his sweetheart of 23 years, Mildred Tashjian of Plainville, and her three children and five grandchildren. Mike was born on November 8, 1949 in Boston MA. He was a proud member of the Marine Corps. He served his country in the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ device and the Rifle Marksman Badge. He received honorable discharge in 1975. Mike will be buried with Military Honors in a private ceremony on June 2, 2016 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
