Mulhern, Matthew Michael “Matty Mul.” Loving son of Karin M (Whooley) and the late Mark L. Mulhern. Devoted brother to Mark, and wife Edie, and Mackenzie, and husband Justin.

Special uncle to Markie, Sammy, Joia, Matty, and Maya.

Dear grandson of Maureen Mulhern and her late husband Hank, the late Patricia M Morang (Whooley) and Ken Morang, and the late Robert Whooley and Anne Whooley.

Survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born and raised in West Roxbury, Matt grew up on Park St in what many know as “the big red house.” Matt was one of a kind. Strong, proud, passionate, and loyal to the core. He believed West Roxbury to be more than a town but a home, a community to be proud of.

He graduated from Catholic Memorial High School and built a career working in the power department at the MBTA.

Matt was the kind of person you were lucky to know. His love was genuine and his heart was bigger than most. We will miss him deeply.

Visiting hours on Thursday October 29, in the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Church on Friday October 30, at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to South Shore Peer Recovery in memory of Matt.
