Murphy, Mary Margaret "Mae" (Tivenan) Murphy, 98, a lifelong resident of Boston, MA, died April 18, 2021 in Dennis, MA. Born in Boston August 4, 1922 to Margaret and Joseph Tivenan. Mae married Joseph D. Murphy in 1964. Mae worked for AT&T for 37 years and enjoyed a long retirement. Mae and Joe enjoyed their retirement in Dennisport, MA and Deerfield Beach, FL. Mae was a beloved sister, aunt and daughter, neighbor and co-worker. Mae is survived by her sister, Marjorie C. Tivenan and her niece and nephews and thier spouses. David and Kristine Cleary, William and Carolyn Cleary and Linda and Arnold Dupuy. Also, their children, Kaitlin and John Sitarz, Kevin Cleary, Michael and Joseph Cleary, Jeffrey and Elisabeth Dupuy. Mae is predeceased by her husband Joseph D. Murphy, her siblings Walter Tivenan and Elinor Cleary and her nephew Robert F Cleary.

Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Wednesday April 21, at 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Church at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
