Mary Isabelle Naumes (Tirrell) of Jamaica Plain, died peacefully in her sleep on December 28,2023.

Marybelle was the beloved wife of the late Theodore J. Naumes. Daughter of the late James J. Tirrell and Mary McNeil Tirrell, and sister of the late Jane Tirrell Bleu. Loving mother of Robert T. Naumes and his wife Stacy Callahan Naumes of North Falmouth and the late Kenneth M. Naumes and his wife Terri Moore.  She is survived by her grandchildren Kenneth Naumes Jr., Robert T. Naumes Jr. and his wife Heidi, of Milton, Christopher C. Naumes and his fiancée Jeni Dymek and her children Abigail and Evan Dymek, of Wellesley, as well as Ryan E. Naumes and his wife Libby of New Canaan, Ct. Cherished great grandmother of Robert T. Naumes 3rd, Claire Susan Naumes, Callahan Rose Naumes and Sean Landon Naumes.

Marybelle is a graduate of Salem State College, Boston University and Boston College. She was Professor Emerita Mount Ida College and a docent at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.

Funeral from The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Friday January 5, at 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Chapel at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday January 4, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
