Born in 1929, Mary was born in Headford, County Galway, Ireland and came to the US at the age of sixteen. She met her husband, John Mulry, who worked for the US Postal Service, when mailing letters home. They married in 1952, and Mary was the most devoted mother to her four children, Jack, Maura, Richard and Jeanne. Mary was also the proudest and most loving grandmother to her two grandchildren, John Beadle of New York and Katie Beadle of New York, relishing every activity, story and achievement. In addition to being devoted to her family, Mary was firmly committed to her faith and an active participant in many organizations affiliated with Holy Name Church (West Roxbury), including The Bernardines, Our Lady of the Holy Name Sodality, Legion of Mary, CYO, and Holy Name Band. She was also active in her community, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and den mother for several Boy Scout troops.
Mary built a life based on family, faith, friends, service and a very healthy dose of humor. As such, she had many dear friends over her lifetime, with whom she shared much laughter and many memories. She will be missed by all who knew her, and remembered for living a life of integrity, conviction, faith and love.
