Mary R. (McDonough) Wild age 80 of Westwood (Formerly of West Roxbury), passed away at home surrounded by love on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022 after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. Born in Boston and raised in West Roxbury she attended St. Theresa of Avila Grammar School and was in the first graduating class at St. Clare High School, class of '59.
She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed trips to the beach, summer days by the pool, a crisp fall day on the porch in Nana's chair and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren doing just about anything. She loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
Mary worked as a Legal Assistant for many years and in her later years for the Department of Corrections as a Human Resources Representative. She made many friends along the way. She enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo, Mahjong, a good poker game, taking trips with her senior groups and the smell of fresh cut grass and burning leaves in the Fall.
She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene M. Wild. Devoted daughter of the late Ruth T. (Olson) and Edwin T. McDonough. Cherished mother of Nancy Geourntas and her husband Alex of Roslindale, David of Mansfield, Christopher of West Roxbury, Peter of East Boston and Susan Rolfe and her husband Chadd of Whitman.
Loving Grandmother of Ashlie, Alexandra, Nicholas, Shane, Rebecka, Peter Jr., and Riley. Step grandmother to Michelle, Christina, Sofia, Olivia and Richie. Adoring Great Grandmother of Briella, Anthony, Theo, Giovanni, Caleb and Lily.
She is survived by her sisters Arlene DeDominicis of Roslindale and Jane Pinnix of Foxboro. She was predeceased by the late Edwin, Robert, Paul, Richard and Carolyn.
She leaves behind a host of extended family and dear friends.

Funeral from The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday December 29, at 10:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Church at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visting hours in the funeral home on Wednesday December 28, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery West Roxbury.
