Snyder, Mary Ellen (Logue) of Falmouth and Needham. Born June 21, 1928, and passed peacefully on June 24, 2021. Daughter of the late John and Mabel Logue, sister to David, Florence, Louis, and Alice. Mary was married to Robert F. Snyder in 1950. Proud mother of 6 children. She was predeceased by her daughter Mary Ellen, and sons Robert, Richard, and John. She is survived by sons Joseph (& Kathryn) and James (& Mary Jo), and daughter-in-law Janis. "Grammy" to 7 grandchildren and "GG" to 8 greats, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She loved dogs, especially Dan, her yellow lab. Mary was a proud graduate of Emmanuelle College with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education. She was awarded the Marian Medal from the Diocese of Fall River in 2006. She was active in the Falmouth Catholic church as a lector, giving communion, choir member, taught 2nd grade CCD, and volunteered with Birth Right ministry. Prior to moving to Falmouth, she was also active at St Joseph's Church in Needham in the choir. For many years, she also volunteered as an assistant to the teacher in 1st grade in East Falmouth. Mary was a lifelong bridge player, enjoying regular groups in Needham, Falmouth, and in Westwood where she also taught bridge. She played golf and would tell you that she was never very good at it, but loved the social aspect, especially the "Good Group" of couples that for years would get together to golf and enjoy dinner on a regular basis.
