Obituary

Mary Constance Moore of Revere passed away Thursday October 9th, 2025. Born and raised in East Boston, she was the loving daughter of the late Fernando and Carmella (Lento) Gobbi. Mother of the late Linda Moore, Richard Moore and his wife Maureen Danahy, Frederick Moore and his wife Alina Moore, John Moore & his husband David Moore, Joseph Moore and his wife Anne Stanawaski, Lori and Jonie (Armstrong) and Kathy, Ronald, Michael, Lisa, David, and Vincent (Haddock.)

Loving grandmother of the late Malinda Moore, Jeremy Ma and his wife Kaitlyn Ma, Tatyana Danahy-Moore, Chad & Miranda Wilson, Tiffany Dalessandro and Shawn Dinublia and great grandmother to Ethan and Owen MA, Giovanni Dechoudes, Nevaeh Miles and Zoey Lavoie.

Mary was the sister to the late Emma Alexander and her husband Cecil "Blacky" Alexander, the late Frank Gobbi, the late Lena Gobbi, the late Joseph Gobbi and his wife Phyllis, the late Samuel Gobbi, the late Gaetano "Pudgie" Gobbi and his wife Mary, the late Rita DiChiara and her husband Antonio DiChiara, the late Patricia Gobbi and Edward Gobbi and his late wife Kim Gobbi.

Mary was a community activist at heart. She once chained herself to a fire truck in East Boston in protest of the city eliminating fire stations. She loved to spend time in Maverick Central Square Park and visiting Arnold Arboretum on Lilac Sundays. Mary was steadfast and a fought 2 bouts of cancer persevering to the end. At her last battle at 90 years of age she declined intervention in preference to stay at home and live peacefully and with dignity.

She lived a long and precocious life and always gave when she could.

Visiting hours in The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Monday, October 20 from 4 to 8 pm. Last prayer at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11 am followed by the Interment at St. Michael Cemetery, Jamaica Plain. All are welcome to join prayer & interment. A reception will be held at West on Centre at 12 pm, 1732 Centre St, West Roxbury.
