Martin E. McDonough of West Roxbury, formerly of Falmouth, MA.  passed peacefully in the early hours of December 27, 2021.  Marty was the beloved son of the late Michael and Mary McDonough of Hyde Park, loving brother of the late Michael of West Palm Beach, FL, brother in law of Espy McDonough of West Palm Beach, FL, brother of the late Margaret Marcum and brother in law of the late Donald Marcum of North Kingston, RI, devoted brother of the late Ellen McDonough of Hyde Park, Mary Ann McDonough of West Roxbury and Sr. Therese McDonough, MMM of Somerville and beloved uncle of Gregory Marcum of East Greenwich, RI.  Marty also leaves behind a number of cousins and friends whose company he so enjoyed.

Marty was a retired employee of the City of Boston School Department where he treasured teaching for many years.  After retirement, he relocated full time to the Cape where he enjoyed life as a resident of Falmouth until May 2021 when he moved to Edelweiss Assisted Living in West Roxbury.

His family and friends will remember him with much love and deep gratitude.  May his dear, kind soul rest in peace.
