Obituary

Mark Manozzi 11/15/1951-10-7-2019 Mark ended his journey on this earth peacefully just before dawn on October 7, 2019.  He was born in Medford and attended Medford Public Schools.  He joined the US Marines in 1968 and loved the idea of "always" being a Marine. Until the day he died, he wore Marine tee shirts and his Marine baseball cap.  After his stint with the Marines, he decided to join the U S Army and served for several years as a Military Police Officer.  In 1982, he joined the MDC Police and was stationed on Revere Beach.  He enjoyed being a police officer; he respected his fellow officers and was diligent in the performance of his duties.  He married his wife Pamela on the bandstand at Revere Beach.  After several years on the job, he suffered a career ending head injury while attempting to arrest a suspected drunk driver.  For the rest of his life he struggled with a seizure disorder and retreated from most social activities.  He lived quietly and dearly loved the people who were close to him.  He leaves his wife and stepdaughter. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday November 1, 2019 at 11:15 am in The Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Donations in his memory can be sent to: Natick Service Council, 2 Webster St. Natick, MA 01760.
