Marie F
(Zirilli) Bourett
May 21, 1935 – September 7, 2024
Marie F. (Zirilli) Bourett of Franklin, formerly of West Roxbury passed away on September 7th, at the age of 89. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Zappala) Zirilli. Loving mother of Donna and her husband Stephen Young, of Franklin, Joseph, and his wife Christine of Medway. She is predeceased by her former husband Alfred. Dear sister to Salvatore Zirilli and his wife Janet of Dedham, and the late Patricia Deluca and her husband James of Bourne. Loving and cherished grandmother to Lindsey, the late Ryan, Ava, Evan and great grandmother to Mason and Matthew. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Marie was born and raised in Roslindale and Stoughton before moving to West Roxbury, where she spent most of her adult life. After graduating from college, she began her career at John Hancock before starting a family.
Marie had a profound love for her Italian heritage, proudly being an active member of the Italian American Club of Norwood. Her passion for travel took her to many places, but White Horse Beach always held a special place in her heart, where she spent cherished summers with her family during both her childhood and adult years.
Family was the cornerstone of Marie's life. She raised two wonderful children and found her greatest joy in being a nana. Marie adored babysitting and spoiling her grandchildren, creating countless joyful memories, and deeply enriching their lives. Her love and devotion to her family were unmatched, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
