LaGrega, Maria G., (Graceffa) of West Roxbury, MA, formerly of South Boston, died peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2015. Cherished wife of the late Joseph M. LaGrega. Daughter of John and Anna, sister to her late brothers Philip, Anthony, Louis and Angelo, and sister Rose Callinan. Survived by her brother, Lt. (USN, ret.) Joseph Graceffa of California, her sisters, Suzanne Moussalli and Anna Cataldo of West Roxbury, and Gloria Ratti of Quincy. Dear aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mary wishes to especially thank Ines Gonzalez, her longtime care assistant. Maria was employed by the New York Central Railroad as Chief Clerk in Boston until her retirement when she entered into private business with her niece, Maryanne Cataldo at City Lights Electrical Co. Maria's greatest interests were books and newspapers and would not start her day without them by her side. She set high standards for her family and would not hesitate to critique the wardrobe and style of her family members. We were fortunate to have our very own "Miss Manners" in our family. A visiting hour will be held on Friday December 18, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon. A funeral service will begin in the funeral home at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
