L ei Tu, of West Roxbury, formerly of Shanghai, China, passed away October 19, 2022 at the age of 56. Beloved husband of Wenying Tian. Loving father of Siyi Tu. He is also survived by his older brother, father, and mother.

Lei was born on May 2, 1966, and accomplished many things throughout his life. He graduated from Fudan University with a specialty in law. Early on in his career, he became a core leader at his company, working on material imports and exports.

Despite the challenges that come with moving to the United States, he demonstrated incredible perseverance and tenacity and became a registered nurse. He then went on to become a nursing manager, a post he held for many years.

A lover of arts and nature, Lei lived life to the fullest, and was a joy to not only his family, but everyone he interacted with. He strove to experience all the world had to offer with endless curiosity and vigor, giving 100% in whatever he set out to do. Above all, he always put family first.

Lei was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in early 2019 and he fought against it bravely. He constantly worked to improve himself throughout it all, and did not let the diagnosis affect his zeal of life. He remained a steadfast rock for his wife and daughter.

Lei will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his thirst for adventure, and kindness towards all those around him.

他生于1966年5月2日,逝于2022年10月19日,享年56岁。

英年早逝,震悼心颜!抚今追昔,痛哉痛哉!

然而,他的一生,活得丰富而多姿,绚烂而精彩!

他生长于黄浦江畔,在上海位育中学度过青葱岁月后,考入中国名校复旦大学法律系,是日月光华照耀下博学笃志的天之骄子。

大学毕业后,他进入上海抽纱进出口公司,因才智超群能力过人,短短数年便跻身领导核心,为公司的发展做出了卓越贡献。

年近不惑移居海外,他在大洋彼岸潇洒转身,跨界考取美国注册护师资格,进而升任领导整个团队的护理经理,其超凡勇气和坚韧毅力令人钦佩诚服。

在同学的眼中,他聪明睿智,风趣洒脱,才华横溢,光彩照人;在同事的眼中,他淡泊明志,锐意进取,襟怀坦荡,宽以待人;在朋友的眼中,他乐天知命,真诚达观,豪爽仗义,乐于助人;在亲人的眼中,他善良仁厚,孝顺体贴,克勤克俭,踏实做人……

在家人的心中,他一生深爱着妻子英英,琴瑟和谐,风雨同舟,相濡以沫,忠贞不渝;他同样深爱着女儿卯卯,舐犊情深,关爱有加,倾注心血,呵护备至......

在近四年的抗癌经历中,他以超凡的勇气和意志,与病魔顽强斗争,树立了一个顶天立地的男子汉形象,展现出坚强豁达的人性关辉,同时也抚慰了家人亲人友人们的关心关怀。我们日夜祈祷的医学奇迹虽未出现,但这段自强不息的心路历程,又何尝不是他留在人世间的伟大奇迹!

永别了,亲爱的磊磊!从此生死两茫茫,聚散无常自难忘。年年今日断肠处,相思惟有泪千行……

愿一路走好!天堂里没有病痛,仍可尽情挥洒才华,享受岁月静好。
