Patrose, Kurian, Age 92 of Cambridge MA died peacefully on Jan 8, 2013. Kurian was born in Manarcad of Kottayam District in Kerala, India. He graduated from Kerala University in 1941. Received his CPA from Madras University in 1946. He started his career at age 26 working in Iran for the AngloIranian Oil Company for 8 years. And then went on to an illustrious career in public service in India from 1956-1978. He ended his public service career as General Manager of Metals and Minerals Trading Corporation. A man with a sharp wit, keen intellect, great wisdom and pithy humor he was engaged with current affairs and events till his last day. He was a loving husband to Mariam Patrose for 64 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by his three children, Mariam Mathew of Bangalore, India, Babu Patrose of Walnut Creek, Ca., and Prataap Patrose of Boston, MA. Along with granddaughters Maya and Reena Patrose of Walnut Creek Ca. as well as two grandsons Rahul and Ranjan Mathew of Bangalore India. He is also fondly remembered by Thomas Mathew and Manjari Verma of Bangalore, Sheila Patrose of Walnut Creek, James Paradis of Boston and Daniel Hikes of Cambridge. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Society of Saint John the Evangelist in Cambridge, 980 Memorial Drive, Ma 02138
