True, Karen Marie (nee Rendini), 62, died on Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Boston, MA. A woman of impeccable style and class, her taste was evident in her both her personal and professional life. Karen was an avid lover of life, art, design and real estate, but her greatest joy came from raising her daughter, Melissa. She resided in both Brookline, MA and Palm Beach, Florida. Karen married her husband, Richard True in 1990 in Boston. For the past 10 years, Karen worked closely with her husband, Richard, building, designing and selling houses in South Florida and the Boston area. She was also an accomplished real estate broker with the Corcoran Group. Karen believed in the virtue of helping others and was active in a number of charities including St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Pediatric Oncology Support Team (POST), and the Boys and Girls Club. With her kindness and generosity of spirit, Karen touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly by family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Richard Cushing True of Brookline, MA; her parents Enzo and Mary Rendini (nee Barbieri) of Juno Beach, Florida; daughter, Melissa VanDamm of New York, NY; son-in-law, Matthew VanDamm of New York, NY; her siblings, Steven Rendini of Stoughton, MA; David Rendini of Atlanta, Georgia; and Matthew Rendini of Miami, Florida; her two dogs, Tootsie and Henry, as well as a number of other family members and friends. She is pre-deceased by her beloved bulldogs Peggy Sue and Butch and her Doberman, Handsome. Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Saturday November 19, at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre St. West Roxbury at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Friday November 18, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will be private.
