Karen Frances Holmes-Carlson of West Roxbury, April 30, 2025. Predeceased by her husband Richard Henry Carlson, Jr. with whom she shared 13 years of marriage.  Devoted mother of Sean P. Carlson, Richard D. Carlson and David A Carlson all of West Roxbury. Dear daughter of the late Constance F. Holmes and Clifford J. Holmes. Dear sister of Clifford J. Holmes, Jr. of Sandusky, OH, the late Scott M. Holmes, Sharon L. Lupichuk and her husband Peter, the late Mary Catherine Holmes and Connie Holmes and her wife Tina of Dorchester. Karen is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday May 8, at 9:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Church at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Wednesday May 7, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Interment The Gardens Cemetery West Roxbury

Karen was a joyful gardener and animal lover. She will be remembered for her kind spirit and shining light.
