Justine Dennehy Meehan 4/14/18 - 10/11/10 Justine was born in Forest Hills, NY. She graduated from Hunter College and the Columbia University School of Nursing. She was married to the late John (Jack) Meehan, an attorney for W.R Grace, a former Captain in the Army serving in WWII, and a Knight of Malta. They had four children and lived in Manhasset for 50 years, with other homes in Amagansett, Long Island and North Palm Beach, Florida. Justine was an active member of St. Mary's parish, participating in the Legion of Mary and the choir. She was a dame of Malta. She was an active and enthusiastic member of the American Association of University Women. Justine lived life fully. She loved books and music, the ocean and Labrador retrievers. She was an avid bridge player and gardener. She had a big heart and was a second mother to many friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her four children, John Meehan of St. Louis, Missouri; Dr. Justine Carr of Chestnut Hill, MA.; Monica Meehan McNamara of Boston, MA.; and Terrance Meehan of Winthrop, MA., in addition to her grandchildren, John and Jason Meehan; Nora Carr, Rebecca Carr Nolan and Andrew Carr; Kate and Maya McNamara; and a great grandchild, Eamonn Nolan. She is predeceased by her parents, Nora and Daniel Dennehy, and the four sisters, Eileen McGoldrick, Mary Burger, Mona McCann and Shirley Mack. She is survived by a brother, Dan Dennehy of Colorado. She is loved by many nieces and nephews and dear friends. There will be a memorial service for Justine in Manhasset, New York, in April, 2011
