SIMON, John J. of Brookline, died peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. John was born on August 7, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York; his parents were Francis J. and Mary F. Simon. John graduated from Xavierian High School in Brooklyn, NY, Boston College in 1967 and Catholic University in Washington D.C. John was employed by the Congregational Library and Archives of Boston until his illness. John was a good friend to many, particularly his BC comrades and their families, whom he kept connected throughout his years in Boston. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Name Church in West Roxbury on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11am; interment will be at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury.
