McLaughlin, John Stephen of Las Vegas, Nevada formally of Pacifica, California, Wescosville, Pennsylvania and Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts passed away on February 2, 2023 after a brief illness.

Survived by his cherished children, Dara "Ultan" & Sorcha McLaughlin along with their mother, Orla OMalley Daly of Pacifica, CA. Beloved son of the late Margaret "Peggy" (Hunt) McLaughlin and Paul McLaughlin (Deborah Fox), of South Yarmouth, MA. Also survived by his siblings, Paul McLaughlin (Madeline) of Carver, MA, Maureen Ritz (late Steve Sands) of Quincy, MA, Kerry McLaughlin of Attleboro, MA, Nancy Abramo (Steve) of Revere, MA. As well as Aunt Jacque, Uncle Johnny, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, cousins and lifelong friends. John was predeceased by his grandparents, "Nana" Mary (Molly) & John Hunt and "Grampy" John Thomas & Genevieve McLaughlin.

John would light up any room with his family, friends and folks he just met. His wit and skilled dance moves are legendary. He made even the most ordinary days, like shoveling snow at Parkside or spending the day at the beach, a treasured memory. John's zest for life, his compassion and his deep love will stay with us always.

Visitation: Robert J. Lawler & Crosby funeral home in West Roxbury on Sunday, February 26, 2023, 2:00 to 6:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Jamaica Plain on Monday, February 27, 2023, 10:00am.
