John F. Buckley, Jr. of Bristol, RI, formerly of West Roxbury, MA. October 28, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Carolyn (Barnes) Buckley. Loving father of Carol Anne Buckley of Warwick, RI; and grandfather of Jamey Buckley of Warwick, RI; Devoted brother of Ruth Morin of East Millinocket, ME. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. John served in the Army Air Corps in World War II and went to art school on the GI Bill. He was an Industrial Engineer for Commonwealth Gas Co. and a Chartered Industrial Gas Consultant, as well as an award-winning correspondent and feature writer for the New England Gas and Electric Association (NEGEA) News. John was also a Cartoonist for The Pilot and Membership Chair of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce. A funeral service will be held in the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Tuesday, November 1, at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
