Obituary

Jerry Alexandre, 54, took his last breath at the Veterans Hospital on  Wednesday, July 19th, 2023 after waging a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

The son of  Norma Jacqueline Alexandre, Jerry was born in New York on  November 21st, 1968. He then spent his first 7 years in Port-au-Prince, Haiti where he was raised by his aunt  Marie Jose Alexandre Merzier and her husband Roland Merzier. Jerry then moved to Hyde Park, Massachusetts. After graduating Catholic  Memorial High School in 1987, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany.

His loving heart left a beacon of light in his family and friends. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and concern for others. Jerry is survived by his son Richard Luis Wolf,  His aunts Marie José Alexandre Merzier and her husband Roland Merzier, Yanick Alexandre Vandal and her husband Jean Vandal, Michele Alerte, and Eddie Desince . He is also survived by his beloved cousins Romi, Chantal, Darnley and Dodi Merzier; Magalie,

Emmanuel Jr., Edwidgh, Ralph, Alain, and Gregory Desince; Andy and Monette Alerte; Rachel, Jean-Lou and Jean-Patrick Vandal, Régine, Jeany, José, and Yanick Alexandre; and his very dear friend Joan Pinnock-Souroy and her mom Vesper Williams-Hall, who was a friend to both Jerry and Jacqueline for many years.  He also leaves to mourn a host of friends and caregivers who came to love him because of his wit.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 26th  from 11 a.m.  to  12 p.m. at the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.  Following the visitation, a Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 1:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VA Boston Fisher House.
