A celebration of Life JEFFERY POWELL May 18, 1956 - July 24, 2018 Jeffery Powell of Brockton, MA entered peacefully at Massachusetts General Hospital into eternal rest on July 24, 2018 with his loving sister Burnadett Preaster and her husband Rawleigh at his bedside. He fought the "battle of cancer" for a year with strength and hope. Jeffery graduated from Lynnfield High School in 1974. He had a passion for music and became a drummer for a few bands both professionally and on his spare time for fun. He worked at Brigham Women's Hospital for over 15 years. He loved wrestling and horror movies. Jeffery was a funny guy always had people laughing and feeling loved by his warmth and encouraging words. Jeffery always greeted you with his affectionate smile. He loved his family deeply and loved the Lord just as much. Jeffery always helped others even while fighting cancer. Even after his death he will forever have an impact on others lives. Jeffery 's tissue was donated to Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Research. He will be deeply missed. He leaves behind Loving Parents, Roosevelt & Sarah Powell of Chancellor, AL. Two sisters, Burnadett Preaster and her husband Rawleigh Preaster of West Roxbury, MA and Cynthia Powell-Davis of Lothian, MD. A nephew Roy Langford and his wife Marcie Langford of Northborough, MA., grand-nephews Stefon & Jordan. Beatrice Janvier of Brockton, MA, a longtime friend and her children who became family to him. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends. Jeffery remains will be sent to Alabama with a private service for immediate family.
