Jefferson Ming Lee (Lee Gok Ming) passed away peacefully on July 24, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones in Boston.

Born April 13, 1938, in Guangzhou, China during the Chinese Exclusion Act, Jeff immigrated with his mother Chin Sue Winn to the United States via San Francisco in 1949. Jeff and his mother settled in Boston, Massachusetts with his father Harry Buck Lee. Jeff graduated from Tenney High School in Methuen with the class of 1958.

Jeff will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will be remembered for showing unconditional love, never being shy to say "I love you", his wonderful sense of humor, the ability to always see the silver lining, a love of reading, and an easy sincere smile that was shared with the world. Jeff was always quick to tell you that he cared and to share a story or inspiring tale. An avid collector of all items, especially western themed, he was a consummate treasure hunter of fun things. A trait that he has luckily passed down to all his children.

An innate artist, he used his skills to build a career as a draftsman while also dabbling in design, real estate, and entrepreneurial endeavors. A strong believer in God, faith and the importance of family, he was a resolute patriarch with an abundance of love and guidance.

Jefferson is survived by six children: Cheryl, Aimee, Harrison, and Rebecca with his first wife Paula Lee. In 1988 Jeff remarried and is survived by his loving wife of 35 years: Kim Lee, daughter Amanda and son Robert. Jefferson is also survived by his six siblings: Mary, Susan, Iris, Mabel, Theodore, and Cornelius. Jeff was also proud of his thirteen grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews, and beloved canines Sherlock, Watson, and Oki.

Jeff is preceded in death by his son Nathan and parents Harry and Sue Winn.

A viewing will be held on Friday July 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home in West Roxbury. The funeral procession will pass by Jeff's home in Brighton, followed by a 12:00 PM interment service at The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Brighton Allston Congregational Church at 404 Washington Street.
