Jeanne M. (McGovern) Curtis of Milton and Osterville passed away peacefully on April 23, 2023. Beloved wife of 67 years to the late Gerald R. Curtis. She was the loving Mother of Paul and Janet ( Lawler ) Curtis of Milton; Ann ( Curtis ) and Timothy Weithers of Western Springs, Illinois; David and Susann ( Ponte )  Curtis of Milton; John and Christina ( Dickerson ) Curtis of Milton; Alan Curtis and Gail Eagan of Boston. She was also the proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren.

Jeanne graduated from Regis College and received a Masters degree from Boston University. She went on to teach second grade in the Boston Public Schools.

She raised her five children and opened her home to two foster children.

Jeanne was an active volunteer, delivering meals-on-wheels and teaching CCD.

She loved a game of cribbage or bridge and always enjoyed a good book or classic movie.

Visitation: Robert J. Lawler & Crosby funeral home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth's Church in Milton on Friday, April 28, 2023, 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment Milton Cemetery.
