Jean (Yirrell) Hutchinson, 89 died on April 13, 2020 after a lengthy illness. Wife of the late Paul L. Hutchinson of Roslindale and Jamaica Plain, "Hutchie" was a lifelong Roslindale resident and a cheerful fixture of her Centre-South area neighborhood. She wished to have her wake on the front porch of her home so passersby could wave hello and stop for one last chat. In 2008, her home was used as a location for scenes from Edge of Darkness, a film directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) and production managed by the late Academy Award winner Tom Sanders. The experience was a highlight of her days. She is survived by a daughter, Anne-Frances Hutchinson-Lonn of Alameda, CA. As city ordinances do not allow Hutchie's remains to be arranged for viewing in her favorite rocker, we're skipping the wake. Burial will be private.
