Janice Ann Tays Born September 7, 1952 to Margaret (Martin) and Albert Tays (both deceased) of Dedham, passed away on April 19, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. She was a resident of Dedham for over 40 years and raised her family there. Jan had a great sense of humor. She was strong and fearless, never afraid of a challenge. Mechanically inclined Jan repaired her own vehicles, from alternators, brakes to mufflers and beyond.
Janice was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox and Bruins hockey teams.
She also loved cooking for the family, planting her flowers, country music, crocheting and scratch tickets!

She loved her children, Tina and Joey deeply, was dedicated to her family, and cared for both her parents in their old age.

Janice is survived by her children, Tina Tays and Joey Tays both of Stoughton, her sisters, Jeanne Nugent Derosier of Norwood, Patti Munroe of Uxbridge and Debbie Petersen and her husband Bobby of Alabama as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held for friends and family on November 18th at Sons of Italy Club 548R Washington Street Stoughton, MA 2-6 pm
