Cherished Pa of James J. III, Christopher, Stephen, Jenna, Brian, Nicole, Michelle, Michael, Kelly and Jake. Great grandfather of Kayleigh and Christopher. Devoted brother of Eleanor "Dolly" O'Leary and Teresa Daly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury, on Saturday, June 7, at 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Holy Name Church at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Interment private. Jim was a Navy Veteran WWII, serving on the USS Fanning, DD385. He was a Boston Firefighter for 41 years on Ladder 4 and the Arson Unit. He is a survivor of the Hotel Vendome fire. Jim was a member of the DAV and life member of the VFW.
