Born 1935 to Henry J and Mildred G (Dunn). Lifelong resident of West Roxbury. Pre deceased by his parents, his sisters Mary Louise, Virginia and Sarah as well as son in law Daniel J McCarthy Sgt MPD. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Leslie (Rockwell) and their children Susan Bratton (Gerry), Stephan (Christine), Christopher (Jamie), and Kimberly McCarthy. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Longtime employee of Stark Draper Lab. Retired Sgt Major of the 11th Special Forces (Airborne). Henry was a larger than life personality who spoke his mind with ease and readily stood his ground. Firm yet fair. Love of family first and foremost, God and country.

Funeral from The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Monday December 6, at 9:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours in the funeral home on Sunday December 5, from 3:00 to 7:00pm. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
