Carapezza, Geraldine "Gerri" (Carroll) of Walpole, MA, formerly of West Roxbury, passed away peacefully September 3, 2021, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She grew up in Dorchester with 7 sisters and 2 brothers. Pre-deceased by her husband John "Johnny" Carapezza, who she spent many years with traveling everywhere together. She leaves behind 4 children, Thomas Gillis of Northboro, James Gillis of West Roxbury, Karen Barbosa of Fall River and Ken Gillis of West Roxbury. Gerri always enjoyed bragging about her 10 loving grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Deutsches Altenheim "German Center" in West Roxbury. Visiting hours in The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Tuesday Sept. 7, from 4:00 to 7:00pm and on Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial at The MA National Cemetery will be private for family only.
