Allington, Fred of Hyannis formerly of West Roxbury and Saint Augustine, FL. Suddenly January 11, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (McDonough) Allington. Loving father of Bartley Allington of West Roxbury, Lauren Healy of Norwood, Stephen Allington of Upton, and the late Eric Pina and Michael Allington. Brother of the late Herb Allington. Fred is also survived by his grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Fred was an Engineer who worked at the MBTA for 29 years at the Riverside and Reservoir Car houses before retiring year-round to Saint Augustine.

Fred enjoyed riding his bike and working on his classic cars and collecting trinkets found on his many bike rides.  He also was an avid fan of Metal Detecting on the Beaches of Saint Augustine. Later in life he had also enjoyed going on cruises and walking around the various destinations in the Caribbean.

Visitation will be held in the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury, on Thursday, Jan. 21, from 3:00 to 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
