Harrison, Frances "Fran", 65, a longtime resident of Jamaica Plain and Easton, died peacefully after a long fight against cancer on Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was the beloved mother of Alex Finnegan of Boston. Daughter of Mary (Scavitto) and the late Cyril Harrison, she was born and raised in Jamaica Plain. Fran was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament High School and Boston University. Fran worked for the DOT's Volpe Center for many years. Fran loved her family, her cats, good books, Disney World and, of course, the Red Sox and Patriots. In addition to her son, Fran is survived by her siblings, Pauline Foley of Norwood, the late Cyrilla Krauss of Wayland, Mary Ann Fitzpatrick of Medfield and Cary, of NC, Virginia Ryan of Hingham, Caroline Harris of Vermont and Garner, NC, Richard Harrison of Stoughton, and James Harrison of Medfield. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held in the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St., West Roxbury on Wednesday, November 7 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fran's memory may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, Boston's Forgotten Felines, the Jimmy Fund or the Trevor Project.
