Estervina Cruz, 74, of South Boston passed away August 18 following a car accident. A native of Baní, Dominican Republic, Estervina immigrated to the US in pursuit of a better future for her children.

If you asked Estervina what she was most proud of, it would be her children. They became successful entrepreneurs, college graduates, and police detectives. Anyone who met her, likely walked away with a smile on their face and the echo of her contagious laugh forever imprinted in their memory. She was a very generous, kind, loving soul who always thought of others and enjoyed a simple way of life. She brought much joy to those who loved her dearly, and those are many. Estervina had the ability to make lasting friendships everywhere she went. While her sudden passing brings sadness to all who knew her, it is surpassed by the incredible joy in having been blessed by knowing her during her time here on earth.

Her family is comforted in knowing Estervina has reunited with her parents, and her daughter Julissa, who preceded her in death.

Estervina will be deeply missed by her sons and their families: William Adolfo Paulino and his children Julissa, Wilmer and Nataly; Robinson Rafael & Maria Paulino and their children Robinson Rafael, Angel, Grace, Chris, Daniel; Erick & Evy Paulino and their children Erick, Evrick, Eliyah, and Emari; and Roberto Carlos Paulino & Melissa Luna.

Estervina leaves behind her siblings Luisa, Daysi, Dulce, Juanita, Felix, Armando, Julia, Viviana, Nelcida & Ardilia, along with Gleny and Elena Santana.

Estervina will be missed by her companion Cesar Godoy, many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Visiting hours will be held in the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home at 1803 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Monday August 24 from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. Mass will follow at 11:30AM at Our Lady of Lourdes-St. Thomas Aquinas Parish at 14 Montebello Road in Jamaica Plain. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Estervina Cruz, de 74 años, de South Boston falleció el 18 de agosto luego de un accidente automovilístico. Nativa de Bani, República Dominicana, emigró a los Estados Unidos para buscar un mejor futuro para sus hijos.

Si le preguntabas a Estervina cual era su mayor orgullo, hubiese dicho que sus hijos. Sus hijos se convirtieron en emprendedores exitosos, graduados de colegio y detectives policiacos. Cualquier persona que la conocía, siempre terminaba con una sonrisa en sus rostros y con su risa contagiosa en su memoria. Ella era muy generosa, amable, alma amorosa la cual siempre pensaba en los demás y disfrutaba de una vida muy simple. Ella trajo mucha alegría a todo aquel que la quería y esos son muchos. Estervina tenía la habilidad de hacer amistades duraderas en todo lugar que ella fuera. A pesar de que su inesperada muerte trae tanta tristeza a todo el que la conocía, es superado por la increíble bendición de haberla conocido aquí en la tierra.

Su familia se consuela en saber que Estervina está reunida con sus padres, y su hija Julissa que la precedió en su muerte.

Estervina también será extrañada por su compañero Cesar Godoy y muchos sobrinos y familiares.

Horas de visita serán en la funeraria Robert J Lawler and Crosby, localizada en el 1803 Centre St, West Roxbury, el lunes 24 de agosto de 9 a 11 AM, seguido por una misa a las 11:30 AM en La Parroquia Our Lady of Lourdes-St. Thomas Aquinas, localizada en el 14 Montebello Road en Jamaica Plain. La sepultura será inmediatamente en el Cementerio Forest Hills. Familiares y amigos son invitados a asistir.
