ERIC RILEY ESSIG

Age 64

Cap'em Eric was born in Bexley, Ohio on August 22, 1954.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Riley Essig and Joan Bringardner Essig. The second son, Eric was the neighborhood ring leader of the "Usual Suspects" when anything was amiss.   He was the first to fly the coop and the big ole USA was his canvas.  He had layovers in Colorado, Hawaii, Georgia and Nantucket before settling in Boston and joining the Ritz Carlton.

Locals would say you could hear Eric before you could see him.  Being a founding member of the "Too Close to the Sidewalk Club", he was impressed when he had to look up to a seated Shaquille O'Neal while serving the Lakers team breakfast.  He loved his Pats, Sox and Bruins, but never forgot his first love, The Ohio State Buckeyes (BEAT MICHIGAN!!!!).

Eric is survived by brothers Robert J. Essig, Gregory Essig and Mark Essig and sisters Mary, Lee and Marjorie.

Eric lived life his way and had one "wicked" ride.

Burial will be private.
