Cherished grandfather of Brian, Stephen, David, Gregg, Michael, Shannon, Marissa, Enrico, Eric, Andrew, Alex, John, Alissa and Jenna. Devoted brother of Eleanor Desmond of Braintree and the late Armundo and Nicholas Piatelli. Dear friend of Adelaide Vitale. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Robert J. Rico's newspaper career started at the Boston Post in 1950.He then worked at the Boston Record American until 1972 and the Boston herald America from 1972 - 1976 . He was a Pressman for the Boston Globe from 1976 until his retirement in 1991. Rico was the former Secretary Treasurer for the Boston Newspaper Printing Pressman Union # 3.
