Enory Hernandez de Mendoza, age 86, passed away on October 10, 2022. "Norita" is survived by her two daughters, Ofelia and Aracelly (with her husband, Lyonel); two granddaughters, Yennifer and Gina (with her husband, Brian); her brother, Humberto; her niece, Johanna (with her husband, Gary and sons: Roman and Dale) and nephew, Ivan; her great-granddaughters, Gabriella and Micaela; and her dog, Snoopy who stayed by her side until the end. She was loved dearly by family and friends in Boston and extended family in Colombia.

Enory was an incredibly strong-willed and resilient woman. As the matriarch, she loved her family dearly and worked tirelessly to provide them with a beautiful and bountiful life. She loved to dance, cook, and laugh. She was the glue that held everyone together. She was honest and wise, which meant that many sought her wisdom. For years, she fought an arduous battle against cancer and received exceptional care from Dr. Philippe Armand at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In her time of need, she built incredible bonds with the women who cared for her and became a part of the family. We are forever grateful for their devotion to our loving grandmother.

A viewing will be held at Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM with a service at noon. To honor her end-of-life celebration requests, we will not be hosting a traditional burial service, but the viewing will be followed by a private gathering.

Enory era una mujer increíblemente fuerte y resistente. Como matriarca, amaba mucho a su familia y trabajaba incansablemente para brindarles una vida hermosa y abundante. Le encantaba bailar, cocinar y reír. Ella era el pegamento que mantenía a todos unidos. Era honesta y sabia, lo que significaba que muchos buscaban su sabiduría. Durante años, batallo contra el cáncer y recibió atención excepcional del Dr. Philippe Armand del Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. En su momento de necesidad, construyó lazos increíbles con las mujeres que la cuidaban quienes se volvieron parte de la familia. Se llevará a cabo un velorio en Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury el viernes, 14 de octubre de 2022 de 11:00 a. m. a 2:00 p. m. con un servicio al mediodía. Para honrar sus deseos sobre la celebración del final de su vida, no organizaremos un servicio de entierro tradicional, pero la velación será seguida por una reunión privada.
