ENGLISH Emilia Angel, age 95, passed away on October 25, 2023. She is survived by her son, Luis, and two daughters, Martha and Luz Marina; grandchildren, Osmani and Esneider; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Miguel, Juan, and Maria Jose. She was loved dearly by family and friends in Boston and extended family in Colombia. Emilia had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She was an incredibly caring and resilient woman, who was loving to everyone that she met. She greeted everyone with a warm and gentle hug. Emilia loved traveling with her son, taking long walks, reading, eating sweets, getting her nails done, babysitting her friend's children, watching animals on TV, gardening, and watching her daily mass. Despite life's hardships, she was a woman of faith, who trusted God and faced adversity with hope and fortitude. Visiting hours will be held at Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home in West Roxbury on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A mass will be held in her honor at Holy Name Parish Church at 11:30 AM, (Boston / 10:30, Colombia) followed by a private gathering. For those who want to join from afar, the mass will be live-streamed here on this page, starting at 11:30 AM. (Boston / 10:30, Colombia) In lieu of flowers, we invite you to donate in her name to Sherill House, a non-profit organization where she received end-of-life care from loving and caring nurses, doctors, and aides. Alternatively, you can make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital www.stjude.org which offers support for children with cancer, a cause that was dear to her heart.

Emilia Angel, de 95 años, falleció el 25 de octubre de 2023. La sobreviven su hijo, Luis, y dos hijas, Martha y Luz Marina; nietos, Osmani y Esneider; bisnietos, Samuel, Miguel, Juan y María José. Fue muy querida por su familia y amigos en Boston y su familia extendida en Colombia.

Emilia tenía el corazón más grande y la sonrisa más hermosa. Ella era una mujer increíblemente cariñosa y fuerte, quien era cariñosa con todos los que la conocian. Saludaba a todo el mundo con un abrazo cálido y amable. A Emilia le encantaba viajar con su hijo, hacer largos recorridos caminando,  comer dulces, hacerse manicures, leer, cuidar de los hijos de sus amigas, ver animales en la tele, cuidar de sus matas, y escuchar la misa a diario. A pesar de las dificultades de la vida, era una mujer de fe, que confiaba en Dios y se enfrentaba a la adversidad con esperanza y fortaleza.

Las horas de visita se llevarán a cabo en Robert J. Lawler y Crosby Funeral Home en West Roxbury el sábado 28 de octubre de 2023, de 9:00 AM a 11:00 AM. Se celebrará una misa en su honor en la Iglesia Parroquial del Santo Nombre a las 11:30 AM (Boston) / 10:30 AM (Colombia), seguida de una reunión privada. Para aquellos que quieran unirse desde lejos, la misa será transmitida en vivo aquí en esta página, a partir de las 11:30 AM (Boston) / 10:30 AM (Colombia).
