Elias P. Aloumanis of Roslindale, Massachusetts passed away on Sunday, February 5th 2023, at the age of 94. Elias died peacefully with family by his side.

Elias was born in Stefania, Greece on July 17th, 1928.  The youngest of three sons and two daughters.  Elias survived famine in his teens, fought in World War 2, served in the Greek Army and survived the Greek Junta.  In 1969, he and his family left Greece and emigrated to the United States for a better life.

While living in the United States he continued to support his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in Greece.  Through his generosity, two nephews went to medical school and his brothers and sisters were able to live a comfortable life.  Throughout his life he continued to put the needs of others ahead of his own.

Elias was preceded in his passing by his daughter Helen and first wife Panagiota.  He is survived by his second wife Pamela; his son Peter and his wife Maureen. Stepdaughters Barbara, Stacey, Joanne and her husband Bob. Grandchildren Elias Aloumanis, Jacqueline, Lothar, Elias Huckaby, John, Nicole, Jacquie and Kristin.  He also leaves extended family in Greece and Australia.

The wake service will be at The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre Steet, West Roxbury, Massachusetts, on Friday, February 10, from 9:30-10:30am. The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.  Church Services will be at 11:00am at St Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 39 Belgrade Ave, Roslindale, MA 02131. Burial Forest Hills Cemetery.  Friends and Family are invited to a luncheon, immediately following the burial service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church.
