HOWARD, Eleanor M. (Kilduff) of East Dennis formerly of West Roxbury, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2022. Loving wife of John E. Howard Jr.(predeceased) with whom she shared fifty five years of loving marriage. Daughter of the late Joseph F. and Nora V. Kilduff of Roslindale. Devoted mother of three sons; John E. Howard III and his wife Elizabeth of Dedham, Joseph F. Howard (predeceased) and his wife Jean of North Attleboro and Stephen G. Howard (predeceased) and his wife Patricia of Easton. Sister-in-law of Roseanne B. Howard-Teplansky and her husband George of Richmond, VA. Loving grandmother to her seven wonderful granddaughters; Patrice Roundy (Peter), Catherine Heider (Benjamin), Bernadette Sullivan (Brennan), Kara, Elizabeth, Jennifer and Jillian Howard. Loving great grandmother of Alden Heider and aunt of Catharyn Oroszlan (Frank) of Richmond VA. Eleanor was born in Boston. She graduated from Emmanuel College and later went on to obtain a Master's Degree. Eleanor had a long and rewarding career working with children in the Boston School System. She married the love of her life, John, and had three sons who she adored. She and John gave their children the gift of summers at the ocean and winters on the mountains skiing. Eleanor and John shared love, laughter and wonderful times with their cherished friends and family and they loved traveling together. She celebrated the accomplishments and joys of her children, grandchildren, niece and great grandchild as the matriarch of a family she so loved. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name Parish Church on Monday, April 11th at 11am. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. Interment will be private at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Her family is very grateful for the exceptional care and compassion provided by the Dennis Fire & Rescue and Police first responder teams.
