Duggan, Edward C.,  69, of Roslindale, on December 26. 2020

He leaves his twin brother Dennis, of Roslindale and his sister Julie of West Reading. PA. He was the beloved uncle of Emilie Duggan Martin of Temple, PA and Neva Duggan-Hicks of Dorchester.

Eddie was a graduate of Boston Latin School and the College of the Holy Cross. where he majored in history.  His encyclopedic knowledge of history was rivalled only by his amazing internal database of sports statistics.  From the time he was a student at Holy Cross until recently,he worked as part of the press box crew during football season.

He worked for many years as a taxi driver for Veterans Cab in Newton and for Newton Yellow Cab.

He was a devoted son to his widowed mother, helping her with all of her activities as she grew older.  He was a helper to all of his family members. Eddie dearly loved his nieces, and provided them with opportunities they would otherwise not have had growing up.  He also cared for a succession of rescued cats, starting with one that wandered into the dorm during his last year at Holy Cross.

Eddie was assisted mightily in his final months by his neighbors David Foster and Nia Lewis and by his cousin Eileen, among others.
